SLHS Campus Chatter, October 19, 1928
In the fall of 1928 Sugar Land High School began publishing a school newspaper called "Campus Chatter. " I'm not certain of this, but I think prior to that year the school printed news items as part of Texas Industrial News, a newspaper printed in Sugar Land by Sugarland Industries.
The paper actually covered all of SLISD. Items for the grade school, Mexican-American school, and colored school appear in the editions I have. T.C. Rozelle saved these papers in his archive. (He's mentioned in the grade school section of this edition.)
You'll notice the article covering the football game with Pasadena is missing. References in other articles suggest the Gators got whipped.
